Skeinshot terms and refunds

Effective October 11, 2026

If Skeinshot Pro isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of buying and you'll get a full refund. No questions asked.

Refunds

• Bought on our website (Gumroad): email help@skeinshot.com or reply to your receipt within 14 days of purchase, and we'll refund the full price.
• Bought on Google Play: request a refund through Google Play, or email us within 14 days and we'll handle it.
• After a refund, please stop using Pro and delete the offline file.

Your Pro license

• One Pro purchase is for one person, on all of their own devices.
• Please don't share your private Pro link or the offline file. They're how we keep Skeinshot affordable.
• Pro doesn't expire, and improvements to Pro are included at no extra cost.
• The free version is free to use for your own projects.

Patterns you make

• Patterns you create with Skeinshot are yours. You can stitch them, give them away and sell them.
• You're responsible for having the right to use the picture you start from. Don't convert photos, artwork, logos or characters you don't own or have permission to use.
• Import only charts you bought or have permission to use. Imported charts stay on your device for your own stitching; please don't use Skeinshot to copy or resell another designer's work.
• Free PDFs carry a light Skeinshot watermark and credit line. Please leave them in place; Pro PDFs have neither and can carry your own shop name and logo.

Colors and estimates

• Thread colors on screen and in print are close matches to DMC numbers, but screens and printers vary. Check your skeins in daylight before you start.
• Skein counts, finished sizes and hoop suggestions are estimates.
• DMC is a trademark of DMC Corporation. Skeinshot is not affiliated with or endorsed by DMC.
• Thread color data comes from craft-color-codes by MakeBead, used under the CC BY 4.0 license.

The fine print

Skeinshot is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or online. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim related to Skeinshot is limited to the amount you paid for Pro. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes

When these terms change, we'll update the effective date at the top. Changes never apply to refunds you've already requested.
